ABOUT
Rich & Henry
Since young teenagers we've always been heavily involved with the sport. Through years of love and experience, we decided it was time to set ourselves the challenge of running our own shoot. Seven years on, we looked to extend our passion by taking on Kedleston Estate Shoot.
We rear our own birds, pride ourselves in our hospitality, and have never lost our passion from all those years ago. Find out more here.

OUR TEAM
In a relatively short period the Jones brothers have brought together an exciting team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of your shoot day.
​
As most guns know there is a small army of people who are often never seen but can be on occasions be heard in the woods and cover crops, they are The Beating Team.
​
Look behind you when in the gun line and you will see the Picking Up Team.
​
Rich and Henry do all they can to ensure the shoot has on-hand the best and brightest team in the field, who share their willingness to do things differently and to re-establish Kedleston Estate Shoot as one of the premier shoots in the region.
THE KEDLESTON EXPERIENCE
Ash
The day starts at around 9:00am at Kedleston to meet your fellow guns and your hosts.
Oak
Coffee, bacon rolls and a short safety briefing, pegs are drawn, before leaving for the first drive.
Social Distancing best practice will be observed.
Beech
Guns travel in our gun bus to each drive around our estate, commencing at around 9:30am.

Acorn
Each day varies depending on the shooting teams' preference; however, usually two drives will take place followed by elevenses in the field.
Hawthorn
Drives will commences, following elevenses, and a meal will be provided to finish off, what we hope will have been, a brilliant day in the field!

GAME SHOOTING
The team at Kedleston Estate are all highly experienced shots with years of knowledge to help you or your team of guns 'get on' the birds. We pride ourselves that even 'less experienced' game shots can find suitable birds in every drive and the size of your teams smiles at the end of the day are, ultimately, the biggest and truest reflection of the day.

IN THE FIELD INSTRUCTION & LOADING
Our team can accompany you into the field on your driven day in either a support or loader capacity to help you get on the birds and get the most from your day. Our experienced loaders are certified, qualified and insured and can be provided on an individual or team basis, when requested.
